Oil only absorbents boom absorb oil or oil-based liquid only. It is made of 100% polypropylene with good absorbency. It applies to land, water surface, etc.
 
The main function of absorbent booms is to contain and clean up oil spills. They are placed around the perimeter of the spill to contain it and prevent it from spreading. The socks and booms will float on the surface of the water, making them easy to spot and collect. They can also be used on land to contain spills on pavement or other surfaces.
